Elon: Cybertruck's Surprising Feature, A Better Turning Radius Than the Model Y
The Cybertruck is nothing like any other vehicle on the road today, boasting a design and features that are meant to dominate the electric pickup truck market. In typical Tesla fashion, the Cybertruck's performance is also impressive. However, a recent comment from CEO Elon Musk revealed an unexpected feature of the Cybertruck - its turning radius.
Musk shared his observation on Twitter in response to a video of recent Cybertruck sightings. He noted that the all-electric steel pickup, which is much larger than the best-selling Tesla Model Y crossover, might actually have a better turning radius.
This is surprising, given that the Model Y is 187 inches long, while the Cybertruck is expected to be a whopping 231 inches long.
Nevertheless, Musk's comment may hold true because the Cybertruck features rear-wheel steering, a feature that has been spotted in prototypes and is expected to be included in the production version. With this feature, the Cybertruck's turning radius will likely be quite manageable.
The #cybertruck four wheel steering in action. This thing will have the turning radius of a #ModelY (sorry for the # @elonmusk).

While the Model Y's turning radius has been criticized by some electric vehicle owners, it is still impressive to consider that a vehicle as large as the Cybertruck could potentially have a smaller turning radius than a crossover SUV. This feature adds to the unreal appeal of the already unique Cybertruck.
Elon Musk has announced that the Cybertruck will enter initial production this summer, which seems increasingly likely given the number of sightings of production beta Cybertrucks online.
This follows a similar pattern to the production of previous Tesla vehicles such as the Model 3 and Model Y, which saw a rise in sightings of beta units prior to their release.
In conclusion, the Cybertruck's impressive features and potential to have a better turning radius than the Model Y make it a unique addition to the electric vehicle market.
